You smile contently to yourself as you finish wrapping the present before you. 'I really hope Al likes it...' You think as your thoughts drift to the American. Today was the 4th of July, and it was also Alfred's, your husband of two years, birthday. You had had a tough time picking out a perfect gift for him, but at the last moment, you found it.

While you were out shopping with your friend Elizabeta, you stumbled into a comic book store that sold rare comics and figurines. You ended up purchasing some comics that your husband was dying to have, and a small Captain America action figure, since he was Al's idol. It may have cost you most of the money you had saved up, but you knew the look of happiness on Alfred's face would make up for it.

You were about to pick up the present and put it away, when you felt arms wrap themselves around you, and a soft cheek rub against yours.

"Darn, I was hoping you were still wrapping and I could catch a glimpse of my gift!" The person says, and you let out a giggle.

"Sorry Al, you're going to have to wait till later!" You say, and the American lets out a whine.

"But, [Name]! I don't want to wait!" He begins to pout, before he lets out a soft gasp, and places his hands on your stomach. "The baby's really kicking today!" He says excitedly.

You smile and place your hands on top of his, "Well, it is almost time for it to be born." You feel the child move once more, and your husband laughs.

"I bet he's going to be just like his dad!" He exclaims, and you tilt your head to look at him.

"Oh? Are you sure it's going to be a boy?" You had both decided to wait till the baby was born to find out it's gender, and now he was certain it was going to be a boy?

The American grins, "Of course it is! The little dude has my energy!" As soon as he says this, the baby gives you another kick and you rub your stomach.

"You got that right!" You agree, before moving out of his embrace and turning to face him. "Come on, we have to get the place ready for the barbecue tonight! All of friends are coming to celebrate Independence day and your birthday, and that's not going to happen if we don't get things ready."

The blond smiles, "I'm on it! You should take it easy, I don't think it would be a good idea for you to move too much." He says, causing you to smile back.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine!" You wave off his concern, and he gives you a look telling you to reconsider, "Oh, alright. I'll stay put." You take a seat on the bed.

"Good! Besides, I've got it covered, babe! This place will be ready to party before you know it!" Alfred tells you with a wink, before he leaves the room to begin preparing.

When he's gone, you place your hands on your stomach again, "You have an amazing father, you know that?" You whisper to the baby, before deciding to take a nap till the party began.

A few minutes before the party was scheduled to begin, you are awoken from your sleep when you felt a pain in your stomach. Your [e/c] eyes widen when you feel a wetness began to pool between your legs, drenching your clothes and bed.

'Oh no, the baby is coming!' You think in a panic, and you begin to call out for Alfred. A few moments later, the blond enters the room.

"What's up?" He says casually, and you notice that he was all dressed up nicely for his party. You felt bad that he was going to miss his celebration, but the baby had already decided that it was going to be born NOW.

"Al, it's time!" You say urgently, and he raises an eyebrow.

"The party doesn't start till a while, babe. I still need to fire up the grill." He was about to leave, when you grab his hand tightly.

"NO! It's time! The baby is coming!" You yell, gripping his hand tighter when another wave of pain hits you.

His cerulean eyes widen, "W-What? A-Are you sure?!"

You nod hastily, "Yeah, my water just broke! Al, you need to take me to the hospital!"

The American hesitates for a moment, before he nods in determination and smiles, "Don't worry [Name]! I'm the hero, I'll get you to the hospital safe and sound!" He heads to the closet and grabs the bag you had prepared with clothes, before picking you up bridal style and heading towards the car.

Outside, you see Arthur, Francis, and Matthew coming up the driveway with gifts in their hands. "Al, [Name], where are you going?" Arthur asks when he reaches you.

"Sorry you guys, but the party is cancelled! Our baby is coming!" He explains, and the three boys nod in understanding, before helping Alfred buckle you in.

"I hope everything goes well!" Matthew says as Alfred begins to pull the car out.

"Thanks, dude!" The blond says with a smile and a wave of his hand, and soon, you find yourself begin taken to the delivery room.

"Come on, [Name!] You can do it!" Alfred cheers you on as you follow your doctor's instructions and begin to push. Leaning back on the bed to catch your breath, you tighten your hold on the blond's hand and look up to him.

"Al... I'm sure you would rather be at your party than here..." You say in between gasps.

The blond's eyebrows knit together and he shakes his head quickly. "What are you saying? If I had to choose between you and some party, I would choose you in a heartbeat! We're in this together, [Name]!" He says with a smile.

"Oh, Al... I love you." You say, trying your best to smile, despite the fatigue you were experiencing.

"I love you too. Now, if you're ready, let's bring this baby into the world!" You nod at him in determination, and after gathering your strength, you start to push again.

After a long hour of labour, you and Alfred brought a healthy baby boy into the world, fireworks from Independence Day celebrations exploding outside.

"He's beautiful..." You say in awe, as you gently cradle the child. The small baby looks around the room with shining cerulean eyes. "He has your eyes." You look up at Alfred, who is sitting next to your bed.

"And he has your cute face," The blond replies with a grin. You smile back, before you remember something, "Oh no! I forgot your gift at home!"

Alfred raises an eyebrow, and you try to explain, "I looked everywhere to find a perfect gift for you, and when I found it, I just had to buy it! It cost me a bit, but it was for you, so it was worth it! Oh, and I was looking forward to see how happy you would be when you opened it! It was something you been asking for..." You trail off when the blond laughs.

"What's so funny?" You ask, and he smiles.

"You're really cute when you ramble." He says, causing you to pout. "[Name], you're also really awesome for going through all the trouble to find a gift for me, and I really appreciate it, but you've already given me the perfect gift." His eyes drift towards the baby in your arms, his cerulean orbs softening.

"You've given me a healthy, beautiful son and you've made me the happiest man on earth!" He lets out a chuckle, and turns to you. "I love you, [Name]. And I love our son. The both of you have made this the best birthday I've ever had!"

You smile happily, "I love you too, Al!" You lean in, and being careful with the baby, give the blond a kiss. When you pull back, you look at the bundle of joy in your hands and let out a giggle.

"What?" Alfred asks in confusion, and you look up to him.

"You don't mind sharing a birthday with our son, right?" You ask and he laughs.

"Of course not! As long as I get more gifts than him~!" He replies, and you slap him playfully on the arm. "Just joking!"

"You better be joking!" You tease, before your eyes soften as you gaze at your husband, "Happy birthday, Al."

The blond smiles in appreciation, and looks down at the baby, "And happy birthday to you too, son..."

Happy birthday America, you hot guy you~!

I was busy all day, so I didn't get to write something till now, so I'm sorry if this seems rushed!
